Breathtaking beachside hot spring - The views are breathtaking while your body relaxes and unwinds throughout the different temperature hot springs. The steam bath is warming and therapeutic with a good amount of heat. The cold plunge is built in the sea but I opted to submerge my body in the ocean which is very shallow. This place is magical and I love how this is built along the beach shore so you can go exploring, go for meditative or mindfulness walks, watch the wildlife from the warm baths and go for a quick plunge in the ocean if you're keen to brave the cold. This was a highlight for me to access the beaches in Iceland in a safe and calm way and this place gave me the opportunity for this in an incredibly peaceful and breathtaking experience. When we arrived it was not overcrowded and we booked our tickets in advance. There are plenty of options to move around the different hot spring baths. We heard the food is very good at the cafe will have to try next time. An Amazing experience to awaken the senses and revive the body one of my favourite hot spring baths.

Well organized to get you... - Well organized to get you to the springs. Once there, the staff are very helpful explaining everything. This place is more low key and less touristy than the Blue Lagoon which we really enjoyed. Although you can rent towels there, bring your own if you can-quite expensive to rent. Highly recommend this tour-we enjoyed it very much!

A worthwhile excursion from Reykjavik - Even the trip to Hvammsvik was an experience and also the time in the hot springs really worth a trip. Thanks also to our driver Dylan, who took great care and was always punctual and courteous.

Invigortating Experience Highly Recommend! - Absolutely stunning views, and the springs feels incredible. I went during the winter and found the transition between hot and cold to be invigorating! You can order drinks while inside the springs.

Hvammsvik natural hot spring - Hvammsvik Spring is in a natural setting with access to the Atlantic ocean surrounded by hills and mountains. There are several smaller geothermal pools and the water temperature varies. Since you have to walk from one pool to another, you need at least flip flops to protect your feet (you can also rent water shoes at their store). We brought our own towels and wore hats while sitting in the pools because of cold wind. If you travel in a car, make sure to check the tide table before going. During the high tide you may not be able to access all the pools. There is a restaurant and a bar and you may enjoy a drink while sitting in the pools. This site is not suited for persons with mobility issues.

Fabulous - Fabulous hot springs. They have 7 pools of varying temperature. Not as crowded as the Blue Lagoon. After you finished with the hot springs, there is a restaurant there that serves the most delicious fish soup.

Great experience at Hvammsvik, however issue with pick up - The Hvammsvík Hot Spring experience itself was amazing! We only had an issue with Viator and booking through third party. We stood outside in the cold weather and the driver did not show to pick us up. Thank goodness Yohan - Reykjavik expeditions driver happened to be dropping off other guests and kindly brought us to meet up with our tour group. Thank you to Yohan!

Hot Springs are 5/5, pickup/dropoff is 1/5 - The springs themselves were *amazing* and a 5/5 experience that I even considered booking again in the same trip. But I would highly recommend just making your own way to the meeting point (BSI bus terminal) rather than paying extra for a pickup point, because the pickup process was extremely disorganized. My pickup time was 4:30-5pm, so I arrived at the pickup point at 4:20pm, where there were 2 other people also waiting to be picked up for the same tour. No one showed up until 5:10pm and even then, it seemed like it was another guide from the company who just happened to be going to BSI terminal rather than the pickup service we actually booked. When we arrived at BSI terminal, the transfer to Hvammsik left immediately---they did not check who had arrived or anything so this also felt random and unorganized and that we were just "lucky" to make it before it left. I highly recommend the hot springs, but just meet at the meeting point BSI terminal----the pickup point service isn't worth the stress or extra cost.
