If you're using Subway/Metro, get off at the Piramide station and take the PIAZZALE OSTIENSE exit. Once you're outside, the meeting point will be on your left-hand side. The check-in begins at 8:30, we depart at 8:45. We use the train and cannot wait for latecomers.

Such a great tour - Our tour guide was amazing! It was pouring down rain and it was quite cold the entire tour and she kept a great attitude through the entire thing. Learned a ton and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Ostia Antica - Return from Sicily, 24-hour Rome connection
We had time, so we left our luggage at the airport and went sightseeing.
It seems that I can get there by bus from the airport, but I couldn't find a bus stop, so I got there in about 15 minutes by taxi.
Pompeii is famous for its ruins of ancient Roman cities, but while Pompeii was lost in an instant to a volcano, this city gradually declined as people moved in due to sediment deposits carried from the river, and became abandoned in the 9th century.
The ruins themselves are as vast as 1-2 kilometres, and you can enjoy the ancient theatres, temple ruins, dwellings and fishmongers shops that slowly reflect on Roman life at the time
The ancient theatres and mosaics are well preserved and are highly recommended, as they are close to both the airport and the city of Rome.

Great experience in Ostia Antica - This was really interesting and enjoyable. Our guide, Sonia, was amazing. Passionate about the subject, super knowledgeable and very fun to spend time with. Highly recommended. Close to Rome, super easy to get there.

Trip to Ostia Antiqua - Excellent guide —very knowledgeable about Roman architecture and culture. Only issue was finding the meeting point with the guide—I was waiting with another couple thinking we were on the same tour, but it turned out they had a different guide even though their tour was the same time and to the same place—just a slightly different meeting point! Confusion all around.

Missed the group tour - Make sure that you know exactly where to meet your group and what type of sign or other means of identification they will be carrying. Ask to have messages sent as a text message and not to your email account.
