Not religious and would have been a mistake to miss. - Great tour with an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable. The dome was packed at the top but still worth the climb up. The stairway is not a difficult climb but it does get very narrow so if you’re claustrophobic, not recommended. Our guide also timed it just right so we got into the catacombs underneath just as they opened up. After the tour we were able to stay and look around as long as we liked. Great tour.

A Sacred Journey: Exploring St. Peter's Basilica, Papal Tombs, and Dome with My Family - Our visit to St. Peter's Basilica, Papal Tombs, and Dome with my family was a spiritual and awe-inspiring experience that immersed us in the rich history and grandeur of the Vatican City. From the majestic basilica to the hallowed tombs of past popes and the breathtaking views from the dome, every moment of our journey was filled with wonder and reverence. The Majesty of St. Peter's Basilica: As we approached St. Peter's Basilica, we were greeted by the imposing facade and majestic dome that loomed overhead. The sheer scale and architectural splendor of the basilica left us speechless, as we marveled at its intricate details and sacred beauty. Entering the basilica, we were enveloped in a sense of serenity and holiness. The grandeur of the interior, with its soaring columns, golden altars, and magnificent artworks, evoked a profound sense of awe and wonder. We paused to admire Michelangelo's breathtaking Pieta and Bernini's majestic Baldacchino, marveling at the skill and craftsmanship of these masterpieces. Exploring the Papal Tombs: Our journey continued as we descended into the depths of the basilica to explore the Papal Tombs, where centuries of pontiffs lay at rest. Walking among the solemn rows of tombs, we felt a deep sense of reverence for the leaders of the Catholic Church who had shaped history and guided the faithful through the ages. We paid our respects at the tomb of St. Peter himself, the first pope and the rock upon which the Church was built. The significance of this sacred site, believed to be the final resting place of the apostle Peter, filled us with humility and gratitude for our faith. Ascending to the Dome: The highlight of our visit was ascending to the top of St. Peter's Basilica's dome, where we were rewarded with panoramic views of Vatican City and the Eternal City beyond. Climbing the narrow staircase and emerging onto the rooftop terrace, we were greeted by a breathtaking vista that stretched as far as the eye could see. From this lofty vantage point, we admired the dome's intricate mosaics and the sprawling expanse of St. Peter's Square below. We soaked in the beauty of Rome's historic landmarks, from the Colosseum to the Roman Forum, and watched as the sun set over the city, casting a golden glow over the rooftops and domes. Family Bonding and Shared Reflection: Our visit to St. Peter's Basilica, Papal Tombs, and Dome was more than just a tourist attraction—it was a journey of faith, discovery, and family bonding. As we explored these sacred sites together, we shared moments of reflection, prayer, and gratitude for the blessings of our faith. Walking hand in hand through the hallowed halls of St. Peter's Basilica, we forged memories that will last a lifetime. Our shared experience deepened our appreciation for our Catholic heritage and strengthened our bonds as a family united in faith. Our visit to St. Peter's Basilica, Papal Tombs, and Dome was a sacred pilgrimage that touched our hearts and souls in profound ways. From the majestic beauty of the basilica to the solemnity of the papal tombs and the breathtaking views from the dome, every aspect of our journey left an indelible impression on our spirits. As we bid farewell to these sacred sites, we carried with us a renewed sense of faith, gratitude, and reverence for the timeless treasures of our Catholic tradition.

To avoid - No interest On time for the appointment no breakfast served because too many people Very very basic explanations from the guide who actually let us finish the visit alone! No skipping the line either, in short, expensive and uninteresting

WITHOUT INTEREST - Breakfast is a simple croissant and a box of fruit juice that you pick up at the bar just a few minutes before departure, given the crowds (meeting point for many groups): breakfast taken quickly, while walking to join the queue in front of the basilica. Our guide's explanations were very basic. Added value to the breakfast and the almost non-existent guided tour, especially since it is not a skip-the-line.

You don’t skip the line - No ”skip-the-line”. 2 hours of waiting. Both outside the church and then again inside to get the ticket to the elevator/stairs.

Disappointed - The one positive of this company was that they let us change our tour when we had a conflict due to a time change of another tour. This tour had over 60 people. In our group. It was super disorganized. If you don’t have cellular service you will not be able to access the audio guides provided by the company. We waited in the security line for over an hour and a half which is not their fault but would have been good to know about this as we had scheduled the Vatican tour 2.5 hours after this tour. So we never got to go up into the dome as that had another line to go through. So if you purchase this tour make sure you give yourself at least 4to 5 hours.
