Great experience - This experience was really fantastic. It was so terrific to meet the Huskys, an unforgettable experience. Our guides Aldo and Chris were great as well. I recommend Nordic Unique Travels, I have enjoyed many activities with them this week, everything is well organized and this is a once in a lifetime experience ❤️

The tour guide that... - The tour guide that brought us to the husky place was good despite we did not manage to catch the northern lights. Special credit to the musher who took us for the husky ride was patient and explained to us on the different characteristics of the dogs and the different role that each dog has. However the owner that greeted us at the husky place is kind of hostile and bad attitude.

Exiting evening tour - The husky ride was amazing, as was meeting the dogs afterwards. The sleigh driver/owner was wonderful and had plenty of time to chat. Driving on the lake at night was also great. For the price though the BBQ was very lacking, although our guides were very friendly.

Nice experience with shortcomings... - We had booked the Northern Lights hunt with a husky sleigh. About a day before, the organizer called us to say that the event we had booked (husky sleigh, Northern Lights, barbecue) could not take place after 5 p.m. due to problems with one of the husky farms. Instead, we were offered a regular tour at 3 p.m. - as we were only spending two nights in Rovaniemi, we agreed. We would be reimbursed around €60 (hasn't arrived yet). The tour was estimated to take 3 hours. There were around 30 people in the office, but only one person at the counter. Everything seemed a bit chaotic. We didn't leave the office until around 3:15 p.m., the journey there took 20 minutes. There we were able to look at reindeer from outside for another 20 minutes, as our turn wasn't until 4 p.m. We then received a safety briefing (very useful!), were divided into groups or pairs and distributed to the sleighs. We drove around a frozen lake, halfway through we changed and the accompanying guides took a few photos. The whole trip took about 20 minutes. After that we were allowed to spend about 5 minutes with "our" dogs before we were chased into the lounge to tell us a few things about the farm over biscuits and hot juice. We would have liked to be able to choose whether we wanted to join in or walk around the kennels instead. Generally, the description suggests that you spend 3 hours with the huskies, but in reality it is only about 30 minutes. 40 minutes transfer time for only 20 minutes sleigh ride and without enough time with the dogs at a price of about 160€ per person is pretty extreme. Now for the good part: The sleigh ride was a lot of fun and the dogs were very enthusiastic. At least we were able to thank them after the trip with a few cuddles. The experience itself is great and we wouldn't want to miss it. But perhaps the framework conditions could be improved.

A complete rip off - £191.20 PER PERSON- for a 13 minute husky sleigh ride, followed by being led to a small kuta (hut with a fire place) so the guides could talk along themselves with 2 or 3 groups of people wedged into a small hut. The guides made absolutely no effort to then go and try and see the northern lights, you pay £191.20 per person for a 13 minute sleigh ride, the dogs were great but for a 3.5 hr tour I expected a lot more, so many other guides offer this experience but for a lot better value for money; please do your research before making the same mistake we did. A complete rip off.

Very short experience - very poor service, hardly any information on farm fashion merely brought to the farm made directly the Husky Tour and then back again in the buses. Very dry, hardly worth cooperation for the money.

Don’t fall for it! - It’s terrible. Don’t fall for it. DO NOT do both things below : book through Nordic and go for this scamming activity. This was what happened: 1. It was not magical as it described on the website. We were being brought to a “husky farm” after about 40min coach ride. There wasn’t a proper toilet for guests to use before or after the husky ride. 2. There was no proper briefing to tell you what to expect during the ride. No talking to you about the life of the huskies. Most of the dogs don’t look like husky at all. They looked really like mongrels. 3. We were hurried to the sled after some hot berry juice in the tipi. 4. The dogs ran for about 4km to 5km to “chase” the northern lights. Which there were nothing to see although the sky were clear. The guide driving the sled did not stop at any point at all to allow us to see if there are activities in the sky. 5. After the ride, came down from the sled and we were asked to return to the coach. 6. At this point, the co-guide told us that they will bring us to try to catch aurora at a nearby forest area. 7. The bus wanted to turn into the forest area (there were many other tour buses already there), but Massi, the main guide stopped the driver and told him that Nordic office instructed him to return to the office. 8. We then asked Massi why. He gave a few crappy reasons. He said A) We already caught the aurora earlier during the husky ride, so there wasn’t a need to continue the chase. B) the tour we booked is only for 5km distance which already covered by the husky. This was rubbish. C) We paid lower price package. Again it’s rubbish because we paid 189 Euros! Guys, if you are reading this. Please do not fall for the description. We had done top notch Husky ride experience in another city in Finland. This offered by Nordic was the worst experience we had in Finland. Nordic offered us some refunds but offered zero explanation on why they screwed up our tour experience.

Cramped sledding - The sled ride was only 25 mins which actually turned out to be a blessing because we were cramped on a sled with another couple (not fun having a random dude sitting in your lap). On top of that because the other couple were sitting in front of us all in one line we barely got to see the pups driving the sled. Didn’t see the northern lights but that’s out of anyone’s control. For the experience itself despite the northern lights, I would not recommend.
