- Salta - Our journey begins in the city of Salta, departing through the central access and taking the RN 9. We then enter the municipality of General Güemes via the RN 34. Next, we head into the province of Jujuy, where we get a glimpse of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, passing through charming towns like Yala, Volcán (technical stop), and Purmamarca, home to the stunning Cerro de los 7 Colores.
- Quebrada de Humahuaca - We make a brief technical stop for passengers to use the restroom or purchase snacks.
- Purmamarca - Our first stop is in Purmamarca for a panoramic photo opportunity from the route, facing the town. The morning sun dramatically alters the colors here. This stop lasts approximately 20 minutes.
- Cuesta de Lipan - We venture into the breathtaking Cuesta de Lipán, reaching an altitude of 4,170 meters above sea level. Here, we can admire the spectacular flora and fauna. This winding high mountain road, with its green and brown hues, showcases the beautiful landscapes of the puna.
- Salinas Grandes - We arrive at the third-largest salt flat in Latin America, where we will have 45 minutes to 1 hour of free time to explore the salt pools, sculptures, salt restaurant, and take amazing photos in this vast salt flat in northern Argentina.
- Purmamarca - We return to Purmamarca, where you will have 2 free hours to explore the charming town and have lunch. The imposing hill of 7 colors is nestled in the heart of the town, with its narrow, cobbled streets and adobe and mud houses.
- Salta - We head back to the city of Salta, crossing the final stretch of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and its landscapes. We will have technical stops along the way for restroom breaks or to buy food and drinks.

Route: Salta, Güemes by highway, San Salvador de Jujuy, Volcano (technical stop), Purmamarca, Cuesta del Lipán, Abra del potrerillo, Nevado de Chañi, 40 minutes to 1 hour free in Salinas Grandes. Return to Purmamarca and 2 hours free. Within those 2 free hours you can do the Paseo de los Colorados between 30 to 40 minutes. Return to Salta between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Total distance: 460 km. Maximum height: 4170 meters. Duration: 12 hours

Beautiful scenery in northern Argentina - The views and experience was stunning! There was alot to see throughout this trip. Raul the guide was so nice, kind, and friendly. He gave great advice about to how cope with the altitude during this trip. If you go and you've never gone to places with high altitude, you must research ahead of time before you go and be prepared. It was amazing to see how different the culture is in the north compared to the capitol of Argentina. I would highly recommend this trip!

Beautiful views in Purmamarca and Salinas - Great day out! Enjoyed the both our time in Purmamarca (7 colours hill) and on the Salt flat. Well organised tour with a great guide covering all the main points and answering questions. Driver safely covered the various road conditions!

Excellent excursion to Jujuy. - excellent walk through jujuy, visiting incredible places (Salinas grandes and Purmamarca). The guides of La Quebrada tourism, very good people, very friendly and attentive. Recommended 100%.

A Good overall careful with restaurant -
it’s was a good experience. Salinas Grandes and Pumamarca really worth a visit. The tour runs without any issues. The time that we spent in Salinas was quite good, enough to know the place and take fun pics. But the experience in Purmamarca definitely was a down point. The plan was stay there for 2h and the practice was 1h30, that wasn’t enough to eat and get around the city (that is small). In addition, the guide strongly recommended us a restaurant (Peña Marito) which has a very slow service and lack of options. We ordered a portion of baked potato with cheese that spent almost 40min to be delivered. If you book this tour, we recommend look for a quick snack available in the streets of Purmamarca and prioritize your time exploring the beautiful corners of this village.

I would recommend it to anyone - I enjoyed the site scene very much.
The van had some technical problems during the trip, but the tour guide managed to keep everyone happy.

Expect a long day of driving - Purmamarca, Salinas Grande, and the drive up into the mountains were fantastic. It was a very long day (longer than mentioned). Be prepared for that!
Our guide, Leo, did a wonderful job explaining the area and what we were seeing along the way in both English and in Spanish for our group.
Definitely worth the visit.

Meet the basics offered - It meets the basics proposed. They give you only 40 minutes to be in the salt flat, without clear orientations and regarding Purmamarca... one way showed us for 3 minutes the hill from the road (no approach). There were some colored letters referring to Jujuy... but it passed by (there were other companies giving the space to photograph) and leaving us in the mentioned one (meters later and without the opportunity to go to it). Back we were given time only to have lunch in a restaurant that is not in the center of the village and take to an up shop. No walking into the village, let alone approaching the 7-color hill. It is at the discretion of each person what they expect from the trip and if it serves them my comment.

Long day, disappointing guide - Very long day. It was great to see the salt flats and the scenery, but be aware you will spend a huge amount of time on the bus. Was also disappointed that the guide spoke very little English despite me requesting English when booking. No information was given about timings. Didn’t stop for lunch until around 3pm. All in all really disappointing compared to other tours I’ve done.
