Read & Be Amazed - Being Fit REALLY matters! Our guide Patrick Warrior is a champion! - This was truly amazing, and the most difficult experience ever - your fitness level matters and being informed of what to expect is important. You will be challenged I think no matter your lifestyle/age...I would dress differently for the adventure now that I have lived it. I'd wear long sleeves, and long leggings as part of the bathing suit because you will be climbing, stretching, scrunching, slipping, and sliding like you've probably never done before except when you were a little kid. So being flexible is important and wearing footwear/like swimwear is really helpful/like even sneakers would have been my choice if I knew before, also, you will be in sock feet (I thought for 20 ft in the sacred area) NOPE, a long trek/climbing with wet/socks/rocks, etc. so I'd recommend thick good socks/or 2 pairs as the wet/rocks and climbing is a trip you'll remember forever. Our Guide was remarkable, and so instrumental in the entire experience, Patrick Warrior, made this the most amazing adventure the entire day....he was surefooted, really brilliant, filled with fabulous people skills, yet so chill, AND gave us all an experience to remember all our lives. I'm forever grateful to Patrick for making sure that I could complete the trip, I had doubts and his skill, knowledge and manner of handling a group was so impressive, he was in the know the entire time....I am so proud that we did the trip! It is difficult to describe what you will do -- 3/4 mile into the dark/cold water/very wet sometimes, super small/areas - finding ways to get up/over/through will challenge most everyone. So, make sure you are comfortable going beyond, don't mind getting wet/and like working and trusting other people you just met. If you have any health issues, physical challenges esp. legs/arms and strength...this is not for you - I'd say having a really strong fitness level will make this a mind blowing day. Be prepared!

Spelunking to Mayan underworld - Not the best tour van but once you get to the park and on the trail, it was awesome! We had Dr. Rafael as our guide and we couldn’t have been luckier. A hearty hot lunch of roast chicken and rice, guava juice and salsa waited for us.

Amazing Experience - We visited ATM and our guide was Eduardo. This was the highlight of our trip. Not only was the entire cave experience mind blowing, Eduardo was a fantastic guide. With his knowledge of the Mayan culture, animals and plants, the cave and any other question we could ask. He made our trip

Don’t miss out and bring… - This was one of the best things we did in all of Belize. The tour picked us up from our hotel and drove to the cave. We did a short flat hike to the cave entrance, crossing a river 3 times. Inside the cave system we walked, swam and climbed. The cave system is HUGE. We had a wonderful guide named Patrick. He was amazingly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and the Maya culture. He was very patient and an excellent guide. After the hike back to the vehicle we were served a local lunch of rice and beans, chicken, chips and salsa, and juice. Water was also provided during the trip. You will need to wear shoes, I’d recommend closed-toe, and bring a second pair, to stay dry and wear home. I wore a swimsuit but was told to change to shorts or pants. This was a great recommendation because you slide around on rocks and having the extra protection was helpful. You’ll need a second set of clothes to change into after lunch because you’ll get wet from head to toe and you explore the cave. You do not need money or water bottles or food if you eat before the start of the excursion. Don’t miss out on this amazing adventure. You will learn so much and have so much fun!!

Belize ATM tour - Amazing adventure! We had a private tour and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. The views during the hike to the cave were amazing! Going through the caves while climbing over rocks and swimming thru the cold water was a challenge, but doable for someone in decent shape.

Bucket List for sure - This was honestly one of the BEST excursions we have ever been on! Gliss was a fantastic guide and a wealth of knowledge. I would recommend this tour to anyone physically able to do it! There were some challenging parts as it really is a hike combined with rock climbing and swimming in a cave.

Great cave for any age/fitness level - Ended up doing this tour as the Crystal Caves were closed but I'm delighted I did them in the end. Our guide was Ben, he was great at pointing out some wildlife and giving us info on the walk through the jungle. So many leaf cutter ants which were amazing to see. The walk through the jungle is all flat, nothing to worry about. You cross the river 3 times, once was chest height but the other times was about knee height. Ben made us wear lifejackets the entire time which kept us warm inside the caves and also protected from scratches in the few right squeezes! The caves themselves were great, there were a couple of tight spaces but nothing to be worried about, no crawling for long periods of time or anything like that. Ben constantly told us where to put our feet and how to climb up or down any difficult parts. We saw some crystals made from quartz in the caves, and ancient coral reef formations. Lots of other minerals and elements were pointed out too I just can't remember the names but it was very informative. The relics were interesting to see, I probably enjoyed the actual caving more but it was hard to imagine people going that deep into the caves with all their pots etc. Great trip, everyone could do it with any level of fitness.

Belize Caving Expedition ATM cave 5 Stars! - Belize Caving Expeditions offers a all inclusive extreme caving experience. Starting with personal pick up from my resort, we picked up anfew other passengers and headed to the ATM cave. We were instructed the routine which includes only bringing a water bottle and helmet. Water shoes with socks highly recommended, you will be wearing these the whole time. We were broken up into groups of 8 or less. There were a lot of people waiting for the tour, I was worried it would be overcrowded, but eventually that wasn’t the case. We were guided by Manual,Manny who did a wonderful job. He stopped numerous times along the hike to give valuable history of the jungle, belize and what to expect inside the cave. The hike involves wading through 3 rivers then the entrance of the cave to swim in. You are instructed to stay in single file line and telephone instructions back. Next is the fun part. The extreme caving involves squeezing through crevices, swimming when it’s deep, using the walls to guide you and climbing up steep rocks. No ropes. We saw so many artifacts and skeletons . The cave tour lasted 3-4 hours. The hike back was fast and the tour company provided a hot Belizian meal that was delicious. Would highly recommend Belize Caving Expeditions for your next cave tour.

Wonderful hike but could be less crowded - Lovely hike. The final cave was a let down but the experience made up for it . Tour operator took us there and assigned us to a different guide. Each guide can have max 8 people . Guide Manuel was excellent but the helmets and life vests could be better . Cave was crowded and they should limit visitors . Added extra one hour due to crowding in the cave . Food served for lunch was good. They rushed us a bit when we got to the start of the tour I felt. They should have a photograph taken for each group at the beginning of the tour so we all have a keepsake . Does not matter which company you go with . Experience is the same ,. All the guides seemed to be doing a good job
