Excellent tour of cañada de virgen - Horatio was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. He made the whole experience so pleasant and interesting. The tour itself is a bit strenuous and not recommended for people with mobility issues (a lot of steps and uneven ground to traverse, and you will be walking about 2 miles). The archeological site was fascinating, and Horatio took the time to explain everything in great detail and he answered all of our questions. Highly recommend this tour. The lunch afterwords is good and very welcome after a few hours of a lot of walking. Tip: make sure you bring lots of water and a hat. There is virtually no shade during the entire tour.

Small group tour unlocks the mysteries of this magical site - We really enjoyed our trip to Canada de la Virgen with Coyote Canyon Adventures. Our guide, Alfredo, was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about sharing the history latest discoveries about the site. Because it was a small group, we were able to ask lots of questions and do a deep dive into areas of the most interest to us.

From the underworld to the heavens - Booked a last minute guided tour to the site. Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly, answered all of our questions and was really able to give us insight into the life and times of this pre colombian temple. Highly recommend.

Choose the tour with lunch. It was a Highlight. - We had a perfect day for our tour which began at 9:00 am and included lunch. Lino was our driver and our guide and he was great. Very knowledgeable and engaging. There were only five of us in our group and with us taking the early tour, we lucked out and all told there were less than twenty people at the site, so our photos were great. A school group arrived just as we were leaving to go for lunch at a traditional small ranch house. Everything authentic and cooked over a wood fire. Very simple but delicious. The pyramid was my first and I’m so glad we chose Le Canada de La Vigen. It will be hard to beat.

The pyramids and tour were awesome - Amazing tour! The pyramids were so well preserved. We were really excited about being able to climb up to the top and see how the structure was positioned to be a lunar calendar. Our guide, Israel, was incredibly knowledgable and welcoming. You can tell he really loves his job. The meal at the end was delicious as well! Make sure to pack your sunscreen and a good hat!

An inspiring visit! - Our guide was so dedicated to sharing his fascination and knowledge of this site that he really drew our group in to experience more. We were able to walk admidst the ruins and climb the main structure with a panoramic view over the valley and to the mountains beyond. A nice walk to arrive at the site on a hilltop, experiencing the desert landscape.

Impressive tour! - This was an amazing tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and funny. The fact that he was an actual archeologist made it perfect. We actually got to climb the steps to the top! There are no vendors of any sort. It is completely peaceful and beautiful. And you have wonderful scenery on the hike up to the site. I was very impressed!

Must visit - At first it may not seem like much, but I assure you that it is a beautiful place, full of history. Our experience would not have been the same without the guide of Marianne (Mary) who had us hooked throughout the tour with all her knowledge and explanations about this wonderful archaeological area. Thanks to her, we are very interested in learning more about these civilizations. The tour was great despite the little rain that occurred, the food was delicious. 100% recommended
