Great guide & Guanajuato tour, disappointing Dolores Hidalgo - Our guide/ driver Alfredo was great & funny. We thought we had booked a bus tour so we’re pleasantly surprised to get picked up @ our B&B for a private tour! He even made several stops to proudly show us parts of his home town of San Miguel de Allende prior to our drive to Guanajuato. Alas, we went on a Monday so museums were closed. Still lots to see & enjoy driving (e.g. underground tunnels/ roads) + walking. We also enjoyed an excellent, affordable, fixed-price lunch downtown. SO much food that we took some of it with us to eat later! Dolores Hidalgo was a disappointing “magical town” for us… looked mostly industrial. We arrived late due to choosing to spend more time in Guanajuato. We only stopped to buy Talavare pottery (which in hindsight would have been worth paying 10-20% more in SMA vs. added cost of this tour option). Overall, we definitely recommend Alfredo & this tour company… thanks!

Definitely a worthwhile tour - Eduardo did a great job of explaining all of the history of Mexico. You can tell he enjoys his job. Definitely a nice way to get a taste for the other small cities close to SMA
