The day began with a sense of anticipation as I made my way to the Muelle del Capitan. ALDORA, where the transparent boat awaited. The idea of gliding over the ocean in a vessel that offered a 360-degree view of the vibrant marine life below was too enticing to resist. As a former professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding waves, but this was a new way to connect with the ocean’s beauty.

Our guide, Claudio, was a beacon of energy and enthusiasm. He greeted us with a warm smile and a shout, making sure we felt welcomed and ready for the adventure ahead. With snacks and hydration in hand, we set off on the transparent boat, captained by the skilled Luis and Thomas. The experience was nothing short of magical. Our final stop was the Otoch Mayan Experience, where we were immersed in the rich cultural heritage of the Maya. Participating in traditional rituals and dances was a humbling experience, and the gastronomic tour was a feast for the senses.
