Glimpses of the world that is, the world that was and the world that never was. - Great, just great. Took us to a more than a couple of hidden gems, all the while educating and entertaining us with some fantastic storytelling an encyclopedic knowledge of Korea's folklore, urban legends and how those all fit - or don't - into Seoul's modern soul and story. The tour doesn't take you any further than most can manage, both physically and emotionally, and the time flies by. Comes with advice on what to do if you pick up a travelling spirit or two through the course of the evening...

Highly recommend! - My husband and I had an awesome time walking around and listening to ghost stories! Seoul is a different world at night I'm glad we got to explore it through a different lens. Thank you Shawn! I bought both of your books and have already listened to several episodes of your podcast while flying back home. Really hope I could come again and experience the extended tour! Would also love to take a tour with Joe too!

If you don't know anything about Korean history, but want to learn something in a fun and interactive way, then look no further- this is the perfect experience for you. Definitely buy the extended tour. Thank you for the great evening :)

Ghouly goings on in Seoul - I wanted to do something different in Seoul and opted for the extended night tour...some of the places you are taken are quite creepy at night (the last stop at the palace especially) and this was exactly what I was looking for. I loved hearing about some of the gore and torture and also the stories about the privacy curtains ha ha ha!!! Our guide was able to adapt to the fact that we had a couple of kids on our tour and he did well to keep them engaged as well as pitching it so that us adults still got something out of it too.

Deepened my knowledge of South Korea in an exciting way - Phenomenal ! It’s hard to stay energetic while walking and talking in the height of hot humid weather in Seoul… but Joe made the entire experience amazing. His enthusiasm is contagious and if you love South Korean folklore, he will make you love it even more. My friend was impressed with the how genuine the tales were and how respectful Joe was with relating the tales. Will definitely book more experiences. I’ve become a fan! 감사합니다!!

Great ghost walk - Great walk! Since I listen to the podcast I thought I knew all the stories but I was surprised by lots of new chilling tales and historical facts. Also explored some nooks and crannies of the city I could NEVER have found on my own. Would go again & heartily recommend:-)

Not to be missed - Great value for money and an highly entertaining trip. Got to see bits of Seoul that would not normally be seen, (some interesting back alleys!) and were shown bits that not even the locals realise are there. (Who would have thought that I’d see more of the Berlin Wall than I did in Berlin!). Our guide was funny, knowledgeable, animated and extremely friendly. Thank you. I loved it.
