Great day out, Shanghai Zoo and Water Town - I thoroughly recommend this tour. Our guide Liam was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Maximising our time and experience completely tailored to exactly the animals that we wanted to see in the Zoo. The zoo is very large and without a guide you will spend a lot of time walking before you come across animals. The Panda’s are well worth the visit. Our time at the Water Town was very enjoyable with a delicious lunch of our choosing, a delightful boat ride through the Town, souvenir shopping and delicious treats. A fabulous way to spend a day in Shanghai.

Great tour on Shanghai day tour. - I recently completed a day tour in Shanghai, and despite the city experiencing a typhoon the day before, the team went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. Memorable - Ruby showed us a wonderful time at the Shanghai zoo and watertown. The kids loved it. Ruby understood we had small children so she was very efficient

Great tour for half a day - The tour guide, Annie was very accommodating and knowledgeable) we went to the zoo and went to the water town afterwards. Would definitely recommend this tour )

A really great 4 in one tour! Do it! - It’s a great tour!! It has many different angles to it! And the zoo, the panda’s the lynx and all the beautiful animals then in the airco’d big car to the watertown. Annie knows everything, explains eveything in this cute and very instagrammable village. She explains all the food you see on the streets, the lotus seeds, the lovely local stuff. And then we went to a family ownded restaurant with a round table, to have this great Chinese lunch with a lot of local vegetables, local porc and chicken so delicious. And we got ricecake because we had two birthday people! After the lunch we got in the boat (Chinese Venice) to have a boatride with the perfect pace to see everything., threequartes of an hour backdrive to sHanghai. It is really a perfect trip, from out of Shanghai, to see and experience China more! Annie is great, she helps you with everything, what you want to order or buy!!!

No better way to get around. - The whole day was excellent and Annie was a fabulous, well mannered guide. It was great to travel in a new and well air conditioned car. We had a great time. Thank you Viator, as usual a cut above the rest.

We had a great time... - We had a great time visiting the Shanghai Zoo and the nearby trip to Zhujiajiao. Beautiful canals, good food, and a nice boat ride. Very worth it.

Zhujiajiao water town (PM) + Shanghai zoo (AM) - The trip to the zoo in the morning was an interesting experience as you get to see a variety of animals which you will normally not find all in one place and this is not part of a typical itinerary a first time tourist undertakes to meet in Shanghai. All in all, it’s still a good two and a half hour walking journey in good weather in April 2024.
As for the second part of the tour to the water town, this is similar to the experience we got in Taipei’s Jiufen where you get to see and eat a lot of things of the past and I had fun eating and drinking as I took nice pictures in this non modern day environment. The weather is also awesome this time of the year so feel free to take a trip down.
