Wudang Mountain - Board the bullet train to Shiyan at 8:30 am from Hankou train station, then transfer to Wudang Mountain, which takes about 1 hour. Visit Crown Prince Slope 【太子坡】, constructed during the Ming dynasty over 400 years ago. It is renowned among architects as a “classic example of building on steep slopes” and is a significant part of Wudang’s ancient architectural complex. Explore South Rock Palace【南岩宫】, a Taoist “holy land” and the most picturesque spot among Wudang Mountain’s 36 rocks. Reconstructed in the 11th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1413 A.D.), it originally had 150 rooms, including palaces and pavilions. The Grand Saint Nanyan Palace was expanded to 460 rooms in the 31st year of Jiajing (1552 A.D.). Named South Rock Palace because it faces south, it represents the perfect blend of human and natural landscapes on Wudang Mountain. Overnight stay in a hotel near South Rock Palace within the scenic area.
