Fantastic tour of Pena Palace, Sintra and Cascais - Outstanding! We visited Pena Palace, Sintra, and Cascais. Our tour guide, Sergio, is what really made it special. He was so friendly and incredibly knowledgable of the Portugese history. He pointed out so many things along the drive and was so considerate. The hike to Pena Palace is no joke! It took probably 45 minutes and is incredibly steep. I only wish we had more time in Cascais as it was so beautiful along the coast. One other minor point but important here, Sergio was an excellent driver and we had a nice van. You will be comfortable and safe while curving around the winding roads of the Portugal coast. Do yourself a favor and book this one!

Brilliant day out - The guide was delightful and had a lot of local knowledge. I was on my own but the rest of the group was very friendly and i had a lovely day out. The Sintra palace was stunning, then a few of us had a lovely lunch in the village before moving on to Caiscais which is also a village worth visiting. All the Christmas decorations were being put up everywhere which made everything look quite festive. A well planned tour and I'm very glad I did it

Great tour Lisbon cruise port day - We had a very enjoyable day with Nuno L as our guide. Only two of us that day, so we lucked out with a private tour. We were picked up at the cruise port at about 8:45 am and dropped off at about 6:30 pm. We were in a comfortable black 8 passenger van with Around Lisbon logos. Encountered much traffic going and returning - we later learned a rail strike occurred that morning causing more people to drive that day. The tour stayed on schedule with no worries getting back to ship. Nuno's experience as a teacher and history buff along with Boy Scout activities near the attractions added very interesting background and details to the tour. Being able to both walk the gardens and quickly enter the Pena palace provided for an awesome visit. The palace was interesting to see though many rooms were undergoing tedious restoration. The combination of many interesting architecture styles provides a lot to look at. Afterwards, Nuno gave us a great recommendation for lunch and bakery nearby. We ate in the outside heated area at Paco Real. We especially enjoyed the shrimp apple risotto and large adult size beer steins filled with local draught beer. Right across was the Piriquita bakery with reasonable prices and nice selection. Skip the tarts there though as the goat cheese tarts given to us by Nuno were so much better. Would have enjoyed even more time walking around Cascais. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas along with holiday markets along the shore. Just an awesome day! Would highly recommend this tour, especially with Nuno L (ze).

Wonderful way to see Sintra and Cascais in 1 day - Our tour was beautiful and unique. We made sure to miss the lines and people as much as possible getting even better views and walks towards Sintra from the park and an incredible view of Cascais. Our guide was fantastic local who was full of amazing information, insights and shared his perspectives on a beautiful day

Great excursion - The visit to Pena castle was the highlight. There is so much detail in the design of the castle and the whole structure was built in 14 years. The prepaid tour allowed us to skip the long lines to enter and taking the shuttle up to the top saved us much walking.

Super attentive guides! - Our guide was very friendly and helpful, even being in the English language and explained to us in Portuguese too, because we do not speak English! Nuno a darling.

Don't Miss This - It's a long day and you need strong legs but worth it. There were 8 of us in a small van. Diego was very informative about what we were seeing. It subtracted one star because I was seated in the rear of the van and It was difficult for me to understand Diego as he was driving as well. Add a PA system please!!
