Chiangmai Doi Suthep Temple & Sticky Waterfall
Doi Suthep - At 08:30, guests are picked up from their hotel to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, established in AD 1382. This temple on the mountain is one of Thailand’s most historically and spiritually important sites, attracting numerous Thai and international visitors who seek to experience its sacred atmosphere.
Bua Thong Waterfalls (Nam Phu Chet Si) - Known as the Sticky Waterfall, Bua Thong Waterfall is a unique natural marvel located in the Namtok Bua Tong-Nam Phu Chet Si National Park, 60 kilometers north of Chiang Mai. Its distinctive geological features set it apart from other waterfalls. The porous limestone rocks of Bua Thong have an unusual “sticky” quality, allowing visitors to climb directly up the waterfall without slipping, making it a globally recognized attraction.
Doi Inthanon National Park
Doi Inthanon - At 08:00, guests are picked up from their hotel to visit “The Roof of Thailand.” Doi Inthanon is one of Thailand’s most popular national parks, renowned for its waterfalls, trails, remote villages, scenic mountain farms, viewpoints, and twin pagodas dedicated to the King and Queen. The park enjoys cold weather year-round at higher elevations. Part of the Himalayan mountain range, it features elevations from 800 to 2,565 meters, with high humidity and consistently cool temperatures.
Chiangrai + White Temple + Golden Triangle + Boat Trip along Maekhong River
Wat Rong Khun - At 08:00, guests are picked up from their hotel in Chiangmai to visit The White Temple in Chiang Rai. This temple is extraordinary and distinct from others, with stunning artwork and sculptures. The breathtaking architecture and design were created by Thai national artist Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat, who was born in Chiang Rai. He has devoted his life to restoring and further developing the White Temple, known locally as Wat Rong Khun.
Golden Triangle - After visiting the White Temple, the journey continues to the Golden Triangle, once the hub of opium production and trade in Southeast Asia. Today, the area is peaceful and serene, dotted with hill tribe villages, ancient temples, and markets. Locally known as Sop Ruak, the Golden Triangle is where Thailand, Burma, and Laos converge, separated by the Mekong River. The area is renowned for its stunning scenery. From the viewpoint, visitors can see the three neighboring countries, the Mekong River, and the hilly landscape. Attractions include a large golden Buddha seated in a boat, an ancient temple on a hill, and the House of Opium Museum. Visitors can get close to all three countries by taking a long-tail boat ride along the shores of Thailand, Burma, and Laos.
Chiangrai + Blue Temple + Return Chiangmai + Umbrella Making Center
Wat Rong Seur Ten (Blue Temple) - At 08:00, guests are picked up from their hotel in Chiangrai to visit the Blue Temple. In 1996, local villagers decided to rebuild a temple here to create a center for meditation, prayer, and worship, as they lacked a sacred space for merit-making (earning good karma points) in their town. Construction of the viharn monastery began in October 2005 and was completed in January 2016, with other parts of the temple still under construction. The temple is predominantly painted blue to symbolize dharma, the Buddha’s code of morals, and is associated with wisdom, the infinite, purity, and healing. Blue is also the least “material” of all colors, representing the limitless heights of ascension.
Umbrella Village - Bor Sang - After visiting the temple, the journey returns to Chiangmai for a visit to the Bo Sang Handicraft Centre, where local artists create the world-famous Sa Paper umbrellas, a cherished gift for oneself or someone special. Additionally, visitors can admire Thai silk, silverware, and lacquerware.
