The best cooking class in Tangier - Bilal met us outside the kasbah, took us to the medina to buy the ingredients for our chicken tagine, mint tea, and salad, then back to his place for a cooking class with his wonderful wife, Sana. Unfortunately, today is the last day of Ramadan so they couldn’t join us for the feast but the results were delicious (even though we felt incredibly guilty eating without the rest of the family). We can't recommend this experience highly enough. Bilal is such a lovely warm human being and a generous and knowledgeable guide. Sana is an amazing, gracious woman and a wonderful teacher. I have never eaten so much. Thank you, Bilal and Sana.

Great hosts and delicious food - This experience was fantastic! Bilal and Sana were amazing hosts, and it was such an authentic experience cooking in their house. They were so fun, and the food was incredibly delicious. It was great to learn about the Medina and the pharmacy on our walk to his house from the port, and he even showed us a beautiful spot to watch the sunset after the cooking class. Recommend to anyone looking for a great experience in Tangier.

Highly recommend if you want to know more about Tangier - We start the class by shopping the meat and vegetables in the market with the tutor together. Then we went back to the home for the cooking. His wife was here to assist the class too. It’s a very nice, clean and safe place for the class. We talked about the daily life when we cook. Indeed, the tutor does have cooking backgrounds, and he can speak english very well. You can ask for some travel advice if you need, as the tutor was born in Tangier. He’s very local and familiar with all the local transportation and travel stuff. Everything is opened to discuss by your thoughts and requests. We highly recommended to join this class!!

Take the worry out of your visit to Tangier - We could not have asked for a better experience than the day trip to Cap Spartel and Cooking Class combo! Bilal arranged a car and driver to take us on a city tour, explained the itinerary for the day, listened to our interests and tailored the excursion to be exactly what we wanted - including a short camel ride at the beach (longer rides were also an option), and a visit to the caves with some good tourist time with the Berber musicians! Next stop for us was a walk through the Medina market to buy fresh vegetables and lemons for lunch, then a truly magical visit to his home to cook and enjoy Chicken Tagine with his family. Stuffed to the gills, he took us on a guided walk through the Medina to (among other sights!) visit the Berber Cooperatives and learn about the arts and crafts. We never felt rushed, and never felt pressured to buy anything or to take more expensive options. Bilal is an excellent communicator and one of the most friendly people we have encountered on our travels. If you are a looking for an authentic education in Moroccan History and Culture, and want to remove all the worry about setting up a day trip and exploring the Medina I would say look no further than Bilal. We will reach out to Bilal when traveling in Morocco in the future.

A true Tangier experience! - We had a full day with Bilal who gave us the most comprehensive tour of Tangier. He shared the history and highlights of some of Tangiers most iconic sites. For us, Bilal broke out our day into 3 sections. We first drove through town and visited Cap Spartel (gorgeous views) & Hercules Cave (fascinating!) We also stopped to ride camels on the beach! Afterward we headed to Bilal’s home to meet his lovely wife Sana who helped us prepare a traditional Moroccan meal: salad, bread, chicken tagine and mint tea. So delicious and need the recipe to try at home. Then we completed the day on foot through the Medina / Petit Socco & Grand Socco. Be prepared to have some spending money. You will stop into the market, a rug shop & pharmacy. The argan oil is fantastic - I asked Bilal to get me 2 more bottles. And yes we bought a rug- and it is the most beautiful “souvenir” from our trip. We also walked to the Kasbah and admired more spectacular views. All along the way, Bilal was so passionate about telling us details about the history, geography, food, architecture, nature, people and other fun facts! With this tour you will be totally immersed in the beauty, culture and hospitality of Tangier, Morocco. We had such a phenomenal day, we asked Bilal to take us to Akchour Falls & Chefchouen the next day! Highly recommend!

Fabulous Tangier experience - Bilal is a terrific tour guide. He speaks excellent English, is passionate, energetic and funny (difficult when it is not your native language). Our driving tour covered all the highlights of the city and we learned the history. The cooking class in his home with him and his wife was outstanding (and delicious). We prepared tangine and couscous - traditional Moroccan dishes and drank Moroccan "whiskey" (wonderful mint tea). Our tour finished with a walking tour of the old city - through the market and up to the Casbah. Our day tour with Bilal was the highlight of our trip! I highly recommend.
