Great self drive experience in Nyerere national park . - After a self drive trip in Mikumi national park , I proceeded to the coastal region where I decided to visit Nyerere National park . Even although the park was located 445kms from Mikumi , during the game drive , I appreciated that it was worthy the drive . I booked a local guide with the lodge and Iam happy that he is informed and made the game drive interesting as he explained to me the history , the size , and various spots for wildlife watching . It was great moment during my game drive , I would recommend any self drive traveler that it’s possible to self drive in Tanzanian parks

23 different animals and birds over just 2 days! - A wonderful, memorable and exhilarating experience for our entire family! We counted 23 different animals and birds over 2 days with our wonderful guide - Charles (who we definitely recommend!) including: elephants, lions (who had just killed and were guarding their prey), buffalo, african wild dogs, vultures (feasting on a giraffe!), hippos, warthogs, hyenas, crocodiles, antelopes and more! You're in for a treat!

Great wildlife - It was really fantastic. Despite the size of the park, we saw a lot of animals. The only exception is the rhinoceros, which isn't there. The river tour was also very impressive. Strenuous, but with lots of great pictures.

Amazing magical trip - Absolutely amazing experience. Booked a private tour and overnight stay in the camp. Best money I’ve ever spent. Worth every penny

Wonderful experience I will never forget - It was the most beautiful time - we had a very good guide-driver, we saw many animals (lions - a family of parents and three youngs and two male lions feeding on a hippo, giraffes, zebras, elephants, buffalos, hippos, antilopes, gnu, warthogs, monkeys, croocodiles, birds ...). There are amazing lanscapes in the park, not too many tourists and jeeps, I recommend it to everyone.

Nice place - You really have to look for the animals, this park is very large, "but" very wooded, it's not easy to see the animals hidden there, if I do it again I would rather go to a large plain like Serengenti
