An Unforgettable Adventure of Beautiful Beasts and Welcoming People - My wife and I came into Tanzania with an energetic attitude, an open mind for new experiences, and a high tolerance for bugs! We came here for just the nature, but we also fell in love with the people. The people here have a saying that there are many tribes and that they are united by one language, Swahili. Everywhere we went, we were met by welcomes and smiles. It sounds cheesy, but if you’re from a city like us, then it’s a much needed experience. I remember one time we were trying to spot the endangered black rhino from the rim of Ngorongoro crater, and I saw a small speck in the corner of my binoculars. It was an animal with a large body and a kind of sunken back. I asked our guide, Innocent, what it might be, and soon enough, everyone on the observation deck started freaking out. About 20 people started pointing, yelling “rhino”, and sharing binoculars and camera photos. It was just a short moment, but we were ecstatic and talking about it all the way to the lodge. I also remember the time we hired a local guide to bring us through a small gorge to a local waterfall. We initially didn’t plan to swim, but as we made the trek walking along the rock face (which was scalding hot), we said “why not?” The water was super refreshing after we had been absolutely roasted by the sun. As we were drying off, a group of kids from the village came and started singing “happy birthday” under the waterfall. Naturally, we were obligated to join in. After some fun and another round in the water, our guide took us back to the jeep, but not without some words on the way back. We asked what he thought of tourists from different countries, and his responses were hilarious! Throughout our adventure, there were so many full moments that had me grinning just thinking back on them. I remember Innocent started to ask us if we were ok more frequently like 3 days into the safari. I think it was because I was non-stop smiling for the first couple of days and he was concerned when he saw my naturally angry resting face (If you’re seeing this, then I wasn’t angry back then haha). All these memories and stories we’re bringing back with us are because of our guide, Innocent, his expertise when it comes to chasing the rarely-seen animals, his know-how with the jeep (we had some close calls on the rough roads), and the flexibility with him and Safari Soles in helping to plan the trip — sometimes even on the fly. I cannot recommend this company and guide enough if you want an amazing adventure! Professional, accommodating, friendly, some of the best times, and a truly memorable experience. Don’t hesitate, book now!

The one you can’t miss journey - This is one time in life trip with fully of wonderful memories. Thanks to Safari Soles, our assistant Regina, tour guide innocent, it came an awesome adventure. Our flight arrived in late night and took an hour to pass the security check. Our assistants Regina and Andrew kept messages with us, and responded really quickly. It didn’t take long time to wait for the person who took us from airport. Really smooth transition. Our excellent guide Innocent. He is full of knowledge and passion for the nature. I learned a lot from him about wildlife, cultures and life. With his professional skills, we successfully collected BIG GIVE in a short five day trip. In the wet season, driving is a challenge, but Innocent solved it like a piece of cake. I would not forget he said, akulamatata, with fully confident, when we stuck in water when crossing the river. Although it took some time to fix it, we made it together. For people looking for a journey, this is the one you can’t miss.

Amazing 5-days Safari - Simon aka ‘The Safari Monster’ did it again - I booked my Safari (2 nights Serengeti, 2 nights Ngorongoro in the Serena Lodges) with Safari Soles starting from Arusha right after climbing Kilimanjaro. The communication with their office upfront was flawless, I received a nice pdf containing all details for the upcoming 5 days. In the early morning of the first day I was picked up by Chief and brought to Arusha airport -only to notice that my flight to Seronera got cancelled and a later flight was reserved for me by the airline without any communication (worth double checking!). The office handled it well and reorganized everything. After my arrival in Serengeti, Simon my Safari tour guide picked me up from the airport and the Safari started. What can I say about the following 4 days of Safari and Simon: Just an incredible experience. I soon realized why people call Simon the Safari Monster. He was able to show me all the animals (big 5 and all the additional ones I am aware of) -and not just from far away! The second day he spotted a Leopard and was able to get us incredibly close to it. After informing also the other tour guides from all around, everyone was joining the spot and thanking him for sharing it. No 20 minutes later we stumbled over a cheetah which we saw just as close (amazing photos and videos). Other than many tour guides he drove very far each day to explore the surroundings- and it payed off. He knows the area very well (does it for 8 years already) and knows lots of details about everything that he is happily sharing. In addition he always carried a nice camera and did great shots, uploaded them to his phone and shared them immediately via Airdrop - this allowed to enjoy the animal encounters much more without the pressure of having to take good pictures. I cannot think of a single situation I did not enjoy, thanks Simon for this!!!

Trip of a Lifetime - Safari Soles created the experience of a lifetime for myself and adult son. They tweaked the itinerry so we could have a few days in Arusha before starting our safari and made special arrangements for us on the other end before our return flight in the middle of the night. We felt very well taken care of by Andrew who collected us at the airport and later gave us a great tour of the city of Arusha, as well as returning us back to the airport. We were so incredibly fortunate that we had Cheddy as our private guide, his knowledge and love of the areas he took us to were inspiring and his keen ability to spot wildlife in the distance was awesome. The jeep was well stocked, always super clean each morning, and his enthusiasm for the day's adventure ahead of us was contagious. We were really happy with the lodging at every stop, they varied from higher end to a fantastic camp at Ngorongo and we really appreciated their choices for us. Narrowing down the choice of a tour group was initially a bit overwhelming but I quickly felt that Safari Soles was the right fit for us and I am so glad I went with that! I highly recommend them.

Fantastic Safari / tour - Safari Soles is a fantastic company to work with. When we asked them for a custom 10-day trip, including safari and hiking Nt Kilimanjaro, they did it! Our guide, Jonathan, was knowledgeable, helpful and could find animals everywhere. He has a degree in Wildlife, so he’s great at providing details about the animals. We stayed in beautiful hotels and tents in Serengeti and ate excellent meals. This company is hard to beat for service and price.

A dream come true, thank you Mr. Boniface and Mr. Iddy - It has been truly surreal to have a childhood dream of going on a safari come to life and that is all thanks to Boniface and Iddy from Safari Soles. We had many questions prior to our trip but Boniface worked with our concerns, our budget, and our schedule. During the trip, we were teamed with Iddy who set out to meet our expectations. He asked on day one what we expected out of our 5 day trip and advised us that we will need luck, patience, and the right guide. He was truly the epitome of the right guide. Iddy made sure that my family were comfortable and safe. He was knowledgable of the wildlife, the local people, and the local culture. He showed an enormous amount of patience, especially when he tried to show us those picture perfect moments in the safari. And with luck, we were also able to see the Wildebeest Migration and famous river crossing. We cannot thank him enough. The camps were all beautiful and comfortable and offered us wonderful sunrise and sunsets. We also want to mention that this was a Muslim friendly tour where our concerns for Halal food was taken care of.

Thank you Mr. Boniface and Mr. Iddy - We embarked on a once in a lifetime trip with the help of Safari Soles. Our hopes and priority for this trip was to be able to see the Wildebeest migration and river crossing. Safari Soles took that request and worked tirelessly to meet our expectations. It started with Mr. Boniface who was patient and professional throughout the booking experience. We had many changing schedules and requests yet he remained very flexible. We were then met with Mr. Iddy, our tour guide. For 5 wonderful days, he drove us to and from camps and into Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and the Serengeti. He was kind, considerate, flexible, and prioritized our every need. Ultimately, it was because of his expertise that we were able to see the amazing wildlife of the region and of course the wildebeest migration and river crossing. My whole family is very grateful for everyone who was part of our journey.

5 days private safari - We started our safari after the private tour of the city of Arusha. Abdul our driver and guide picked us up from the hotel and we visited the Tarangire, Serengeti (north and central), and Ngorongoro parks. Abdul was very knowledgeable and experienced. It was impressive how he could drive and at the same time spot animals kilometers away! He shared his knowledge about animal wildlife and even borrowed his book to learn about the fauna. He also tried to accommodate our requests and wishes. Also thanks to him we were able to see the big 5 and a lot of other animals in wonderful scenarios. Each park provided a different environment, different animals and a particular highlight for the day. In one day we were lucky also to see the crossing of the Mara river. At the end of each day we shared dinner with Abdul telling the amazing experience we just had. We were really a team! Abdul he took really good care of us and of the car condition. Excellent organization from Safari Soles as we had top accommodations in lodges and camps. The food every day was very tasty and varied. We also had unlimited drinks in the jeep.

Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire 7days private tour - Overall the trip was great. We did 7-day private safari jeep tour. Our guide for the entire week was ISAACK, who was pretty great. He was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions about the parks, Tanzanian culture, wildlife, and accomodations. Isaack was very well tied into the community, and he seemed to know everyone (guides, lodge staff). Knowing people is crucial since they help eachother find wildlife over CB radio. Isaack listened to and attended to our needs, desires, and pace of viewing/driving. He was very professional, yet easy to get along with. We joked around and enjoyed each others' company. I couldn't recommend Isaack more. The only knock was related to payment. Apparently our wire transfer for the balance, which sent 5 days before departure, was not received. We got messages during the trip. We had brought the paper confirmation, and texted a picture of that to the office during the trip. At the end of our safari, long after we had parted ways with our guide Isaack, we were brought to the office in Arusha, since apparently the wire was still not received. We spent an hour on the phone with our major US bank who confirmed again that the wire was indeed sent and deducted from our account. The mystery for what happened is unsolved, as after an hour someone walked into the room and said that the wire had just gone through. That hour+ in the office was very awkward and concerning, and we weren't sure how it would end. We recommend not sending a wire transfer to pay. Credit card might be the best way to pay despite the high fees. We did not want to bring $thousands in cash with us traveling to avoid risk, which was another way they said we could pay the balance upon arrival.
