Etna tur - I had a fantastic experience at Etna. We were picked up by bus, and although the volcano had just had a strong eruption and many roads were closed, they still found an alternative route. 10/10.

Spectacular Mount Etna - Best part was standing between two craters on the ridge. Mind-blowing even without a serving of lava.

Amazing day - Seeing the orange and lemon orchards on the way and the contrast of the lunar type landscape on the mountain. Seeing the craters.

Great trip - Excellent trip with a lovely guide. Worth going up the cable car & jeep to 2900m to do the walk as it was very interesting.

Dont miss your chance! - What a fun day experiencing an up close and personal experience with an active volcano. Temperatures were perfect, there wasnt much wind and visibility was great! The guide was very very informative and shared great info about the towns we drove through along the way. Her English was very good and easy to understand. We did the trip to 2900m via cablecar and jeep and then met the volcanist who lead our hike to the highest crater. Spectacular views and overall great experience. We dressed in layers and wore good running sneakers. Soil is loose and paths can be steep which was fine for us but wouldnt be if you had any mobility issues or were not in decent shape. Also its ideal to wear long sleeves and long pants, there were a LOT of tiny bugs that landed all over us.

AMAZING! - SAT group did not disappoint. Departure was on time, the bus was comfortable and our tour guide Alexandra was so informative and very sweet. Our bus driver Angelo was the best driver I have ever had manoeuvring the bus in the slim Taormina streets! The trip went so smoothly we loved it so much that we booked another trip right away with SAT group. Thank you again!

Full access tour - The trip was amazing. The bus ride in was very knowledgable, with lots to look at and learn. 100% it's worth the upgrade to be able to use the Cable car and the 4x4 to get up to the top. Once at the very top you get to walk around the 2022 Eruption Crater. Not physically exhausting at all. Lots of areas to get food and beverages at the bottom. 3 pick up/ drop off points which worked great for people even not staying in Taormina. If you are not planning on paying for the cable car/ 4x4 it's very unlikely you will be able to hike to the top in time to get back to your departure.

Well worth it - Very well organised and friendly tour guide who gave all the important information on the journey to Mount Etna. Fascinating to see all the new lava from the eruption the day before.

Well organised high volume tour of Mt Etna - A great tour, efficiently run with a large group speaking three languages. First stop at Alcantara river was a nice break in a long journey with an option to go down to see riverside caves (extra cost). Etna ‘base camp’ was a surprise to find a string of uninspiring restaurants and tatty tourist shops in an awesome remote natural environment. There are options to hike or take a cable car and four wheel drive truck then hike up to the craters. Good commentary throughout. It’s amazing but do take sturdy footwear and a wind proof jacket. Very affordable and good value tour. Private tours also available if you want to avoid crowds.

ETNA EXPERIENCE - We had visited Etna previously & therefore can advise anyone visiting to go up to the higher station via the chairlift & trucks. The views are amazing and an experience never to be forgotten. Perhaps our only criticism of this tour was that if you do the full experience an extra hour needs to be added to the tour so to also experience what is at the lower level.
