A great day of history - The trip was very well organised and the lady did a great job of making sure everyone knew what time the bus was leaving, and all the historical facts. The Valley of the Temple and Roman Villa are exquisite examples of history from ancient times, and we are lucky to still have the opportunity to view them in the flesh. The bus ride is long though so make sure you take a book or something to keep you entertained along the way. That being said, it was nice to also see some of the Sicilian countryside too.

Worth the trip - A full day but definitely worth it. Both the temples and the villa were stunning and the tour was well organised.

Long but productive day - Informative visit to the Valley of the Temples and Villa Romana. Driver and guide were very friendly and the conversation was flowing through the long journey (in 3 languages)

Without compare, UNESCO Site - Spent two full hours with an excellent tour guide, Carmelido Fuca, exploring. She brought the rich history to life and made clear a multi-millennium drama, that luckily preserved one temple and many other partial temples and alters from 400 BC. Greeks, Carthaginians, and Romans are all players in the long history.

Just focus on one place please! - This was a very long day, but we knew that before we went, as the information provided was very clear. The tour company also collected us near our hotel which was very helpful. However, what was not helpful was that the tour guides for this particular tour did not seem as fluent in English as they evidently were in other languages. The trip was marred by this as a consequence. We had very limited information during the tour round the temples and really very little time to see the ruins properly and do it justice. There were other aspects of the site that we just didn’t get to see or find out about. Given the length of the trip and the cost, it would have been better if we had was visited only one place giving us a decent amount of time to see the whole site. The piazza armerina mosaics were lovely but we would have preferred to just spend time at the valley of the temples.

Long Day from Taormina but worth seeing! Ruins and mosaics are well preserved! - The Valley of the Temples and Villa Romana del Casale are defintely worth seeing. The guide explained most of the mosaics prior to getting to the villa. As for the valley of the temples, she did briefly explain each temple/monument. This is a LONG day. What I didn't like... the food at the lunch stop was terrible. By far the worst meal we had in sicily. Also the guide failed to point allow for bathroom stops and the bus didn't have a functional bathroom. After the last stop, we traveled over 3 hours to get back to Taormina (without a bathroom break). We did get stuck in traffic but the guide said that the "traffic is always bad." If it is warm out, bring an extra set of clothes to change in. There is not much shade at the valley of temples

Worth it but lots of hiccups - This is a good tour but the guide was rude af. Bring cash to the tour or you’re going to be scrutinized. There’s also no guided tour for the mosiacs so it kind of sucked. I would recommend choosing a different tour to these sites.

14 hours notice that the trip was cancelled. - Cancelled 4pm the night before the trip because they didn’t have enough people. This would have been known to them well in advance of the point they cancelled. Give people more warning so they can make other plans! This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip and given more notice we could have booked elsewhere.
