Omalo - The Tusheti journey commences at the hotel. Following breakfast, the drive leads to the Kakheti region. A visit to the breathtaking Alaverdi Cathedral, constructed in the 11th century, is included. The route continues through one of the most thrilling and challenging mountain passes, reaching an altitude of 2850m. After a 6-hour drive, arrival in Omalo, the administrative center and most populated area in Tusheti, is achieved. Upon arrival, check-in at the guesthouse is completed, followed by a walk in and around Omalo to visit the Keselo Towers. Overnight stay in Omalo.

Mutso - After enjoying breakfast amidst stunning natural surroundings, a hike down to the narrow gorge leads to the first inhabited area in Khevsureti. After passing through the village of Khone, the walk continues to Mutso village, which, though largely abandoned, captivates visitors with its stunning scenery, towers, and unique architecture. The Mutso fortress complex has recently been renovated. A 2 km detour hike to the Mutso fortress is taken. Near Mutso, transportation with a driver awaits. From there, the journey continues to the village of Shatili.

The journey leads through the Greater Caucasus mountains, featuring alpine meadows, snow-capped peaks, pine forests, and medieval villages. The trek begins on a car road in Tusheti, visiting the stone villages of Dartlo, Kvavlo, Parsma, and Girevi. Following this, the route takes a shepherd’s trail into the Caucasus mountains for a 3-day wilderness hike. There are no huts or people, except for fellow hikers. The trek crosses the Atsunta Pass at 3400m, descending into the Khevsureti region. Here, the path becomes easier and eventually follows a car road. The journey includes visits to the stunning villages of Mutso and Shatili, known for their stone towers and houses. These defensive medieval complexes, built on rocky mountains, offer picturesque views of the narrow gorges. The trekking tour concludes with a return to Tbilisi in comfortable transport.
