Up close with reindeer - I had a great time on this tour as a solo traveller in a large group. I got to feed and pet the reindeer and then go on a sled ride. The scenery around the camp is stunning! I'm a vegetarian and enjoyed the veggie soup and bread that was served.

Unique cultural experience - This was a unique and interesting experience, and one that was a highlight of the trip! The reindeer were very cute, and we had a great time feeding them and riding on the sled. Although it was extremely cold (-20C), sitting inside the tent and having yummy veggie soup warmed us all right back up. I was very glad and surprised to have such a great vegetarian option! Our guide Michel gave us a great insight into his culture and we left with a deeper understanding of the Sami culture, the people and the importance of reindeer. A must-do for a well-rounded understanding of the region and its people!

Great time - My husband and I had a great time on the reindeer sledding adventure. The bus ride to their location was comfortable with beautiful views. The sledding experience, reindeer feeding, lunch, and explanation about the Sami culture were fun, tasty, and interesting in order!

Great time! - Great experience feeding the reindeer and learning about the SAMI culture. We were supposed to go sledding with the Reindeer but due to soft snow we couldnt, the tour company gave us about 30% off due to this, pretty awesome! The reindeer were friendly and easygoing, we had the ability to take pictures with them, not all of them wanted to be petted and they let us know by shying away. The lunch provided consisted of stew, cookies, tea, hot chocolate and coffee, there was a firepit and beautiful scenery.

Amazing for getting to know different cultures and having a contrast between different “worlds” - Our guide Jan (one of Sami) was organised, good-humoured and his eyes were on fire when he was telling us unbelievable stories and history about Sami and his childhood. In addition, he provided us with experience to listen to his Yoik which is quite private thing for Sami. Still having goosebumps from that one. Highly recommend. Jan’s positive attitude charges you up for the rest of the day

A great experience with the reindeer. - As much as the sled ride was cancelled we still thoroughly enjoyed feeding the reindeer. The highlight was, however, the young Sami gentleman who explained the story of the Sami’s, their history and culture. All the staff were very friendly, which really helped make it a great experience.

Fantastic experience either close encounters with reindeers - Fantastic tour of the Sami camp and the reindeers were gorgeous. Thr sleigh ride was a ride in winter wonderland. Fulfilled our expectations. The guide gave a talk on Sami culture but would have appreciated more on the historical side. Nevertheless it was enjoyable. The reindeer stew with dread was delicious. Coffee/tea and biscuits were also provided. Only downside was the gross toilets. They were full and smelled really really bad.

Fun day out for everyone - Bus ride was comfortable and prompt. Arriving at the camp was a sight in itself, incredible scenery for as far as one can see. Staff were incredibly attentive and kind. Only downside to the reindeer experience was that you were limited to 1 bucket for feeding, which is fair enough however compared to other tours where you can feed them as much as they will willingly eat was a little bit of a drawback and having been told this prior would have allowed me to savour the food I was given to feed the reindeer. Otherwise the reindeer all seemed happy and felt as if they were well treated. The sledding was a slight let down, due to an overbooking, myself and others were told to come back at a later time to sled, however at the time we were told to come back to sled, the rest of the group was ushered away for lunch and created some division which wasn’t the nicest, opting out of sledding so I could eat with the main group, would suggest not selling so many tickets that you cannot fit everyone in at the same time, or, give more time and then allow everyone to eat together once all have had the experience. The food offering was great and the environment was fantastic, being offered more if you were hungry and vegetarian was offered for those that do not wish to eat reindeer stew. Bread, biscuits, tea and coffee were all on the table as well which was a nice touch. The Sami story telling after was great and really gave a good insight to the Sami lifestyle. Prompt departure had everyone back on time in downtown Tromsø.

It was good - The reindeers were amazing. Only because of the weather the sledding was not an option, but we still loved it.
