Additional Information

The hike to Trolltunga spans 28 km and is quite lengthy. It’s advisable to hire a guide outside the summer season, which runs from June 15th to September 15th, due to unpredictable weather, snow, river conditions, and reduced daylight, all of which have necessitated numerous rescue operations over the years. Weather conditions can change rapidly during this period.

Spring at Trolltunga offers a unique experience with few or no tourists, clear air, and several meters of snow. We provide snowshoes and poles if needed.

The meeting point is at Skjeggedal (P2) at 8:00 AM, where you will meet our guide. If conditions permit, we can drive up to Mågelitoppen (P3), saving us 4 km and 400 vertical meters.

We will serve a delicious lunch, hot drinks, and local snacks. There will be breaks along the way, and our guides will show you some spectacular hidden gems.

The hike lasts approximately 10-12 hours.

Location
Skjeggedal Trolltunga Carpark P2
Go to the red building/kiosk, the guide will meet you there.

Unforgettable and Challenging experience - Yesterday we joined Trolltunga Adventures for a Winter day hike. We were very happy to have beautiful whether! The guides had entertaining and educative stories along the hike. They take good care of the group and had many snacks they shared with us. At Trolltunga we had the time to enjoy the stunning view and take nice pictures from every one. The hike was challenging, good physical condition is neccesary, but definitely worthwile!!!

Amazing experience and guides - I participated in the hike in a group of 10 of us + the two guides Celine and Viktor. Very good atmosphere, regular stops with small snacks offered, very good picnic at the summit. This long and quite physical hike was made enjoyable thanks to the group! I highly recommend !

Amazing hike - Amazing hike in Norwegian mountains. May is good time to visit. Not much tourists yet, therefore, no ques. Winter hike is more challanging though but definately worth it. Guides of Trolltunga Adventure are great. Helping with great tips and providing lots of snacks. :)
