• Clava Cairns - Clava Cairns is a remarkably preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex featuring passage graves, ring cairns, kerb cairns, and standing stones in a picturesque location. Known as the Prehistoric Burial Cairns of Bulnuaran of Clava, this group of three Bronze Age cairns is situated near Inverness. As a site of great historical importance, Clava Cairns offers an exceptional glimpse into the ancient history of Highland Scotland, dating back approximately 4,000 years.

• Culloden Viaduct - This is the longest masonry viaduct in Scotland and one of the most impressive, constructed in 1898 and classified as Grade A.

• Culloden Battlefield - The next destination is the profoundly moving site of the final Jacobite Rising—the last and most intense pitched battle fought on British soil between Scotland and England. Visitors can explore the interactive visitor center, view intriguing artifacts from both sides of the conflict, and experience the battle in an immersive surround cinema. On 16 April 1746, the final Jacobite Rising reached a violent climax. Jacobite supporters, aiming to restore the Stuart monarchy to the British thrones, assembled to confront the Duke of Cumberland’s government forces. It was the last pitched battle on British soil, and in less than an hour, approximately 1,500 men were killed—over 1,000 of them Jacobites.
