Great experience, great photos! - The tour was very well planned and timed. Never felt rushed. Guide Vincent Lee was informative, knew all the shortcuts to avoid crowds, and he took great pictures. Releasing a lantern in Shifen Old City was a moving experience (they are recycled, which is a plus).

Great tour with an amazing guide! - Vincent was an absolutely amazing guide! He customized the itinerary for exactly what we wanted to see and have us a lot of insight into the local culture and customs. He also helped to translate and show us the best places to go at each site and some hidden gems! Communication was great throughout and he took lots of amazing pictures for us! Highly recommend this tour for everyone!

Fantastic day trip! - Our guide, Jackson, greeted us at our hotel promptly at meeting time scheduled. Firstly, Jackson was so engaging and was very knowledgeable and even became our personal photographer! The weather was rainy at time but it did not stop us from enjoying Yehlui Park, hike to Shifen Waterfall, eat lunch in Juifen Village and launch a lantern in Shifen Village. We would highly recommend this 7 hour tour and if can have Jackson as your guide, you will be in for a real treat.

Steven, was knowledgeable... - Steven, was knowledgeable and a good driver. It was nice to travel outside Taipei to the historical areas.

North Eastern Taiwan highlights - We did a private shore day tour from Keelung port, Northern Taiwan. Matie was our tour guide, and met us holding a sign inside the port terminal, at 1.30pm. Matie was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and he spoke English well. Matie took us to all of the ‘must do’ highlights of North Eastern Taiwan - YehLiu Geopark, the Shifen Waterfall, the Shifen Old Street (where we let our lit lantern go into the sky, with our wishes painted on it, and watched many more be released), and Jiufen Old Street in Chuifen, for food stores & shopping. We had plenty of time at each location and Matie got us back to the ship in plenty of time. It was the highlight of our holiday. (I am also a travel agent, so l’d highly recommend this tour for anyone travelling to Taiwan).

Tour Guide Extraordinaire - Nicholas is an extraordinary tour guide and went above and beyond our expectations in touring us through the towns of Pingxi, Jiufen, and Yehliu. We highly recommend him and would seek him out in our next trip to Taiwan.

Yehliu Geopark - We had an amazing one-day private tour in Taiwan with our guide, Mr. Vincent Hsu, booked through YOLO/Viator. Our family visited several iconic spots including Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen Old Street, Shifen Old Street, and even had the unforgettable experience of flying a lantern. Vincent was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly attentive to our needs throughout the day. One of the highlights was that he also took stunning, professional-quality photos of our family using his camera, capturing beautiful memories we’ll cherish forever. We highly recommend Vincent to anyone visiting Taiwan. We’ll definitely be looking for him again on our next trip!

Although our driver tried... - Although our driver tried his best and was knowledgeable, he did not have a strong English. As a result we did not understand most of what he was saying. We were better off in a mega coach tour. I have a lot of respect for people who learn a different language to do tourism ( or in general). But, if you are going to charge $200+ USD for a tour in another language other than your native language it should be clear and understandable.

Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Planning and Lack of Customer Care - My wife and I booked this trip for May 1st. Our guide, Alex, was perfectly on time for the 9:00 AM pickup, and the first half of the trip went smoothly — we were really enjoying ourselves at that point. However, things took a turn after our visit to the Geopark. For some reason, the itinerary was changed, and instead of following the original plan, we were taken to Shifen. We left Shifen around 1:20 PM, and I suggested that it would be a good time to stop for lunch — it was well past midday. Unfortunately, our guide insisted that we first visit the Shifen Waterfall and then drive straight to Jiufen. By the time we finally arrived at Jiufen, it was 3:00 PM. The place was incredibly crowded, chaotic, and there was no possibility to park or find a place to eat. At this point, I was frustrated and disappointed. We were both hungry and annoyed, and there was absolutely no chance to enjoy the sights or grab a meal. I decided we should just return to Taipei. On the way back, my wife felt sick due to the lack of food. It was a very unpleasant end to what could have been a great day. We trusted that our guide would be professional and attentive to our needs, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Overall, the customer service was poor — there was no real understanding of the situation or awareness of how to provide a pleasant experience for guests. Sadly, we cannot recommend this tour operator.
