If you’re a fan-don’t miss this tour. - We were the only 2 signed up for that day and our wonderful driver John gave us a private tour. From our experiences, other companies would have asked us to change our tour day. Riding up into the dales along the narrow roads I imagined James driving to remote farms. We had time to stroll through Grassington where the pub scenes are filmed, visited the church used for the wedding,Jame’s house, drove past the filming location of Helene’s farm… John was a wonderful source of local history and life in the area.

A day trip from York to Yorkshire Dales. A visit to setting for PBS’s All Creatures Great and Small. - Our trip was like riding along the countryside with Hames Herriot. John, our guide shared his passion for The Dales. The perfect combination of scenery and visits to charming villages.

Ben was a wonderful guide on a personalized tour. - Ben took us on a private tour of the filming sites of All Crestures Grest and Small. We covered the backroads across the Dales, seeing the sheep and cattle among the dry stack rock fence walls. We visited Bolton Castle, the ruins of an Abbey, and walked down to some beautiful waterfalls. Ben is a wonderful and flexible tour guide. He has an excellent narration about the history of the area. I highly recommend him.

An Absolutely Wonderful Experience! - This tour was glorious, despite it being a gloomy, drizzly day. Our guide, John S., was extremely knowledgeable and informative, so that by the end we felt like we had learned a lot about this beautiful part of the world. I definitely recommend the Mountain GOAT, and wouldn't hesitate to take another tour with this company!

A fab day to remember ! - An amazing day to remember. John S was our tour guide and he was so knowledgable about not just the show but also the area and his voice has a lovely tone to it - very pleasant to hear him speak. The mini bus was super clean and comfortable. Yes not very spacious as others have pointed it but didn’t bother me. There were singular seats also if you would like more room. The James Herriot museum was great - you could spend a long time in there.

Keith and Andrew - We had a great day. Our host/driver Barry was brilliant , entertain and knowledgeable . When through pretty little villages used in Creatures great and Small. A full day in the Dales - A full day (150 miles) of touring the Dales, with beautiful views and hundreds of sheep! A must for ACGandS fans. Tour driver was entertaining and knowledgeable. But best of all, he was an expert at navigating the sometimes narrow, winding roads--and vehicles coming in the opposite direction! So nice to be able to sightsee and leave the driving to him!

Lovely Tour and Wonderful Guide! - Barry provides such an informative and entertaining tour. We learned so much and saw a beautiful part of England that we didn’t know existed. He kept us on time and provided comfort breaks as well as being extremely attentive to adjusting the air/heat according to the passengers wishes. That’s a tough job because everyone has a different idea of comfort lol but Barry was so accommodating. The stops were fun and informative. We had a few stragglers that could never get back to the bus on time and Barry was so kind and diplomatic, more than I would have been I’m afraid.. We are big fans of All Creatures and had the opportunity to see different filming sites and hear a lot of background. The day was just a delight! We are so glad we chose your company and very grateful that Barry was our guide for the day!

Fabulous Trip to the Yorkshire Dales with a Terrific Guide! - This was a fabulous day out in the Yorkshire Dales. Of all the many day trips we have made throughout Europe, this was surely one of the best. Incredibly knowledgeable guide John Sherwood made it a very special day. We were able to see many of the sites where All Creatures Great & Small films including Grassington, Helen's Farm, Heston Grange and even a visit to the church where Helen and James were married. John S. provided so many great stories throughout the tour from the time we left York until our return including information about the filming of the current All Creatures series and the previous series, the real James Herriot, York, Ripon, Hawes and life in the Dales past and present. Nice stop for lunch in Hawes, which was a charming town. We had the most delicious and reasonably priced fish and chips for lunch in Hawes. Great trip to Bolton Castle, which was very interesting with beautiful gardens and great views! Highly Recommended!

Great guide but very uncomfortable - John was a wonderful guide so knowledgeable, warm and genuinely friendly and helpful. If I was rating the tour solely on his skills and personality I'd have given it five out of five . However, what detracted from the whole trip was being crammed into a van with no leg room. My 5"3 wife even found her legs squashed into the bag of someone's seat. It was even worse for us taller folk. This tour isn't cheap so the blatant squeeze people in for maximum profit at deliberate cost of their discomfort is very insulting and disrespectful.
