A Journey Through the Emerald Heart of Costa Rica

As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves and soaking up the sun along the coasts of Central America. But every now and then, I crave a different kind of adventure, one that takes me away from the ocean’s embrace and into the heart of the land. That’s how I found myself in the lush embrace of Tenorio Volcano National Park, ready to embark on the Celeste River Tour and explore the wonders of the rainforest.

The day began with a scenic drive from La Fortuna, a journey that took us through the rolling hillsides of Arenal Volcano National Park. The landscape was a tapestry of vibrant greens, with the towering peaks of volcanoes standing sentinel over the land. As we wound our way through the countryside, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation building within me. This was a world far removed from the crashing waves and sandy beaches I was used to, and I was eager to dive in.

Upon arriving at the park, we were greeted by our guide, a knowledgeable naturalist who would lead us through the rainforest.
