This lesson is ideal for lovers of healthy eating. ◾️If you want a complete culinary experience, the Ortigia market tour is available€50 extra a person .The tour includes: the description of the products on the market counters, the food shopping for the cooking lesson, the explanation of smart recipes, small tastings of local products, the family cookbook as a gift. You will pay on the spot.The tour starts at 8.30 and ends at 9.30.

▪️In my Sicilian experience, you’ll learn to cook three typical local recipes with a native of Syracuse. For our menu, we will use only local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients. The menu always changes, and we will prepare three traditional recipes. You can share your food preferences with Teresa. You’ll be immersed in nature, outdoors, in a relaxing and delightful environment. If you have time for a culinary experience during your holiday, this will be very instructive, authentic, and fun, set in a lovely location. Teresa will teach you how to transform good ingredients into a delicious and traditional menu. You’ll enjoy the food you cook yourself. It will be an engaging and fascinating experience, giving you a great story to tell. For any information, do not hesitate to contact me.

The cooking home lesson will be in my place in via Isole Molucche 8 T ( grey gate)seaside area ARENELLA -SIRACUSA , 15 minutes drive from Syracuse. Il Transport is available , if you need it you have to request it at the time of booking because it is an extra that you will pay in cash.

Relaxed, Delicious, Fun. - Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful backyard. Gave good instruction and corrected technique when required. Lots of food, more than you could ever eat. Taste was fantastic, fresh produce from the markets that morning and herbs picked from the garden. Wine provided along with meal.

An absolute must!! Best activity of my Sicily trip - What a wonderful morning with Teresa. Teresa is such a gem!! We choosed and cooked 3 amazing recipes. I would redo this activity myself to learn more recipes and recommand it 100% to anyone

One of the highlights of our 2 week stay in Sicily! - We were a group of 4 family members ranging in age from mid 30's to almost 90 and all of us truly enjoyed our experience! We felt as if we were on a cooking show and there were lots of laughs while we learned to make caponata, arancini, and ravioli. Teresa was very good at communicating beforehand and we were excited to have input on the menu. Teresa is an excellent chef and was well-prepared before we got there. She had a few things prepped ahead of time and she seemed to know exactly how long every step would take. We were kept busy in the kitchen, but not overwhelmed. Her garden was beautiful and very relaxing and she had nice music playing in the background. At the end we got to enjoy our meal and once we were back to our hotel, Teresa sent me some nice photos that she took of us during our class. I would highly recommend this class if you are looking for an intimate and authentic experience in a beautiful setting!

Simply the best - Teresa is truly a great person. This was one of the things that my wife was looking forward to the most on our honeymoon, so we left Agrigento very early in the morning to make sure that we could make it. Unfortunately, the lack of sleep and the extreme heat got to me in the market and I was struggling quite a bit. Teresa took care of me and got me everything I needed to feel better. We then had a great cooking class at her house where we learned some very useful tips and made some really delicious food. To top it all off, Teresa stopped on our ride back to our hotel and gave food and water to a dog on her street. I truly cannot thank her enough for all that she did. Also, her Instagram handle is @__zimmittiteresa__italy_ for anybody that struggles to find her.

Authentic Italian in Home Cooking Class - Teresa is the definition of a traditional Italian mother. If you are looking for an authentic cooking experience and to eat authentic Sicilian food this is the excursion you want to do! We loved the whole process including cooking, eating, great conversation, taking photos, & learning about Sicilian culture. We felt so welcomed into her beautiful home & enjoyed our indoor & outdoor cooking experience. We cooked 4 delicious traditional Sicilian dishes as well as a dessert.

Excellent Sicilian Culinary Experience - An excellent culinary experience. We shopped the market with Teresa, she carefully explained anything we needed, she prepared samples for us, and together we bought the fresh food for the meal. We then cooked at her house with clear instructions and everyone was engaged. We prepared the meal. Teresa was simply wonderful, a warm, funny, and gracious host. We were provided written recipes from a vast selection, not just the meal we made that day.

Fun and delicious! - We were treated to a delicious meal and engaging experience. Teresa has you choose your menu, and she uses the most delicious and fresh ingredients to create a wonderful (and filling!) meal. She explains the whole process and all of the ingredients and sends you off with cooking and travel tips, including a recipe booklet of her favorite recipes. We are vegetarian and she was very accommodating of our needs.

Don’t look anywhere else… - Teresa was kind enough to invite into her own kitchen and teach us recipes from her family’s recipe book that dates back decades. She showed us everything she grows in her garden and how she implements them into the recipes. Teresa taught us how to make authentic Sicilian recipes that I can’t wait to take back home. We made pumpkin gnocchi, breaded tuna steaks, and the best cannolis I have ever had. Don’t look elsewhere and take the tour in Teresa’s garden and kitchen.

Highly recommend! - We had such a wonderful time on our class. Teresa is such a patient teacher. We made lovely food in the beautiful surroundings of the garden and having lunch at the end was amazing.
