The Double-distilled wine spirit, Divin (a type of brandy), is made using standard techniques from local ingredients. The elixir matures in oak barrels for at least three years. ‘Divin’ has its roots in the Romanian term ‘din vin’, translating as ‘from wine’. Another interpretation for ‘Divin’ is divine in Romanian, justified by the fact a significant quantity of the distillates dissipate, which is viewed as a sacrificial act for achieving primo quality. The Moldovan Republic’s largest Divin producer, the ‘Barza Alba’ company (The White Stork), commenced operations in 1944 as a Wine and Brandy factory in Balti. Our team will educate you on how to identify variations, fragrances, hues, and flavors of beverages.
