Discovering the Natural Wonders of Mahe

As a family travel writer, I’m always on the lookout for destinations that offer both adventure and relaxation, and the Half Day Mahe Island Tour in Seychelles was a perfect fit. The artisanal kiosks offered a chance to see local crafts in action, and we even picked up a few souvenirs to remember our visit. The new attraction, Mize Koko, was particularly fascinating, showcasing items made entirely from coconut tree parts. It was a fun and educational experience that the whole family enjoyed.

Our tour concluded with a visit to some of Mahe’s most stunning natural attractions. The Sauzier Waterfall was a highlight, with its crystal-clear waters cascading down the rocks. The short nature trail leading to the waterfall was an easy walk for the kids, and they couldn’t resist a quick dip in the pool below. It was a refreshing break and a chance to soak in the island’s natural beauty.

We also spent some time at Spiaggia di Port Launay, a beautiful beach where locals and tourists blend seamlessly. The protected marine space was perfect for snorkeling, and the kids were thrilled to spot colorful fish swimming in the bay. Our final stop was Beau Vallon Beach, a lively spot with plenty of activities and hospitality options. The kids enjoyed building sandcastles while my husband and I relaxed under the sun, savoring the vibrant atmosphere.
