Setting Sail to the Sister Islands

The morning sun kissed the horizon as our private boat departed from the Dream Yacht Charter Marina. The gentle hum of the engine was a soothing backdrop to the anticipation that filled the air. Our first destination was the enchanting Big Sister Island, a place that promised an unforgettable snorkeling experience. As a marine biologist, I was particularly excited to explore the vibrant coral reefs and the diverse marine life that called these waters home.

Upon arrival, the island greeted us with its lush greenery and pristine beaches. The water was a mesmerizing shade of turquoise, inviting us to dive in and explore its depths. Our journey continued to Coco Island, a snorkeling paradise renowned for its crystal-clear waters and the chance to swim alongside sea turtles. The moment I slipped into the water, I was greeted by the gentle giants, their graceful movements a stark contrast to the bustling marine life around them. It was a humbling experience, one that left me in awe of the ocean’s wonders.

Next, we ventured to Félicité Island, a small granite island that offered yet another unique snorkeling experience. The underwater landscape here was different, with rocky formations providing shelter to a myriad of marine species. As I floated above, I couldn’t help but marvel at the intricate balance of life beneath the waves. Each island had its own story to tell, and I was grateful to be a part of it, even if just for a moment.

Embracing the Beauty of Curieuse and Beyond

Our adventure took us to Curieuse Island, where we were greeted by the sight of Aldabra’s giant tortoises roaming freely. It was a rare opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, a reminder of the importance of conservation efforts. After a delightful lunch at Anse St Jose, we explored the Maison des Médecins Museum, which offered a glimpse into the island’s rich history.

The day concluded with a visit to St. Pierre Island and the tranquil bay of Anse la Farine. Each stop was a testament to the Seychelles’ breathtaking beauty, a place where nature and adventure coexist in perfect harmony. As we sailed back to the marina, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the experiences and memories created on this journey. The Seychelles had captured my heart, and I knew I would return to explore its wonders once more.
